Oakham Town Council unaffected by the triple dip recession and
the devaluation of the £ squanders tax payers money on more
bunting.
The Town Council spends thousands each year putting up and taking
down plastic bunting which people often ask "what's that up there for?
This year the extravagant spend has spread to the Market Place.
The Melton based tree surgeon of course does not complain about
the extra cash, since he lost over £10,000 a year to put up and take
down the Christmas lights which he kindly dumped in a field for safe
storage....
